Hey thanks for stopping by!

A little bit about me: I’m a creative writing instructor and coach. I lead ongoing workshops for writers who want accountability, community, and craft, and I also offer 1 on 1 coaching services. And of course, I write—my first love is fiction, but I write and teach memoir as well. I’ve lived in DC, NYC, Chicago, Iowa City, and now call Chapel Hill, North Carolina my home.

I believe that writing is joymore on that here—and that everyone has a unique voice that deserves to be heard. I am working on a novel and write about the craft and wonder of the writing process and how to support it.

I think rest is an essential part of the creative process. It can be hard to get back to writing after a break, but I have a surefire strategy that works every time.

All my content is free. I’ll send a few post a month on the writing life, what I’m reading, and info on upcoming classes, which are always up to date on my website. Paid subscribers get all the same content plus the delight of knowing they are supporting a working artist.

Thanks, as always, for reading. Keep writing, friend.

I have a penchant for taking weird selfies. This one is from the purple bathroom in the SF Moma.
